Booksite Org is operated by Graphican.com Pty Ltd, an Australian company (ABN 29 630 287 642), based at 13 Fawkner Lane, Craigieburn VIC 3064. We help authors publish and share books, and we take your privacy seriously.
2. What We Collect
We collect information you give us directly — such as your name, nickname/display name, email address, and (only if you choose to provide it) your phone number — plus the content you upload if you're an author, and basic reading activity (like reading progress) if you're a reader. We don't ask for or store your full payment card details; that's handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe.
3. Why We Collect It
We use this information to run your account, deliver books you've purchased, pay authors their share of sales, provide customer support, and improve the Platform. We don't sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Who We Share It With
We share information only as needed with the service providers that help us run Booksite Org, including Stripe(payments), Vercel and Neon (hosting and database), GoHighLevel and Emailit (email/communications), and Google Workspace (internal operations). Some of these providers may store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States.
5. Keeping Your Information Safe
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and secure hosting. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we take this seriously and will notify you and the relevant regulator if a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, as required by Australian law.
6. Your Rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by emailing us. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
7. Age Restriction
Booksite Org is for adults (18+) only. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the Platform grows — including replacing it with our full, detailed Privacy Policy. We'll let you know of significant changes.
