Does anyone revisit this answer on a schedule, or just once?

Did it once at the start and haven't looked back at it since. Wondering if it's meant to be a living document you check in on periodically rather than a one-time exercise.

Printed mine out and stuck it on my monitor

Feels a little silly, but seeing it every time I sit down to work has made it much harder to quietly ignore on the days I don't feel like showing up.

Revisiting this a month later

Came back to reread my original answer after finishing the whole book, and it's held up better than I expected — still the right reason, even after everything else I've since applied.

Question about the exercise — how specific is too specific?

My first draft was almost a full paragraph. Trimmed it down to one sentence per the book's instructions, but wondering if others kept a longer version somewhere for themselves even if the "official" one is short.

Worth doing this one out loud with someone else in the room

I read mine to my partner instead of just writing it privately, and having to say it out loud to another person made it a lot harder to hide behind vague language.

Did anyone try writing two reasons instead of one?

I had one reason for my work life and a completely different one for my personal projects, and forcing them into a single sentence felt like it lost something. Ended up keeping both.

This chapter paired really well with the daily block from Ch1

Having the block already set up meant I actually had a slot to sit down and do this exercise properly instead of half-thinking about it during a commute.

Is it normal for the reason to change after a week?

Wrote mine down, then a week later it felt off — like I'd been describing what I thought I should want, not what I actually want. Rewrote it and it feels truer now. Is that expected or did I do the exercise wrong the first time?

Anyone else find it hard to articulate WHY beyond "I want to be more productive"?

Curious how others answered this. Mine kept collapsing back into a to-do list instead of an actual reason.
